Polish schools receive innovative equipment thanks to the Laboratories of the Future program

Laboratories of the Future is an initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science and the GovTech Center at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister. Thanks to the program, the Polish government will allocate over PLN 1 billion to equip Polish elementary schools with modern equipment such as 3D printers, microcontrollers, robots or audio-video equipment. By the end of 2021, schools and local governments had to spend 60% of the money received.

Many of our Partners took part in the project, offering their products to schools. Among them are companies such as: BeCREO, EI System, Meridian, Moje Bambino, Photon, Prodata, Scottie Go!, Skriware. Our partner companies provide schools with innovative equipment for developing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Maths) skills - robots, building blocks and 3D printers with necessary software, microcontrollers or sets for audio and video labs.

Thanks to programs such as Laboratories of the Future, as well as support in the form of subsidies from EU funds (e.g. inno_LAB, Go to brand, European Funds for Modern Economy), Polish start-ups gain a lot of experience and develop rapidly on the Polish market and are preparing for expansion abroad, especially to European countries and the USA.

In order to prepare teachers how to use the received equipment in the classroom, EdTech Poland Foundation, commissioned by the Ministry of Education and Science, has created a series of webinars with the participation of educators from various fields. During the meetings we talked, among others, about conducting classes with the use of soldering iron, telescope or 3D printing, as well as how to introduce block and text-based robot programming among children in the early school age.

Laboratories of the Future is one of the largest large-scale investments in STEAM laboratories. In the future, EdTech Poland Foundation plans to conduct research on the impact of the Laboratory of the Future project on the development of Polish schools and various aspects of their functioning.

All recordings of the webinars are available on our Youtube channel:
